Durango Skyline 12K, 30K, 50K, and 50 mile
Durango, Colorado

Join us for the inaugural Durango Skyline Trail Runs! 50K and 30K loops utilize Horse Gulch Open Space, Skyline, and Grandview Recreation Areas. The 50 mile will complete both loops, passing through the start/finish. Climb through dense pine forest to reach the top of the mesa with sweeping views of downtown Durango, the Animas Valley, and the La Plata Range. Looking for a little taste without the big climbs? Our 12K course is flat (okay, relatively) and fast!

Cut-Offs
A strict cutoff will be enforced for 50 mile runners at the 50K mark when passing through the Start/Finish. No runners will be allowed to continue after 3:00pm (9 hours). Cutoff at Horse Gulch (mile 39.8) will be 6:00pm (12 hours). All cutoffs are for leaving the aid station. Overall race cutoff is 9pm (15 hours for the 50 Mile).

Drop Bags
A drop bag may be placed at the start/finish line only. 50 Mile runners will access the start/finish at 30.9 miles.

Trail Running & Trash
Please respect the trails and the beauty of the land by disposing of any trash at one of our aid stations. Do not throw trash on the ground–runners caught littering will be disqualified. We ask that you practice “Leave No Trace” along the course to ensure the race continues for many years.

Race Timing
We will be utilizing a chip timing system at this event to record your finish time. Results will be posted using “gun time” only. You will be provided with a timing chip attached to the back side of your race bib. Please do not fold the area of your race bib where the timing chip is attached.

Parking
Parking will be available in the lot adjacent to the Student Life Building and the Education Hall.

Camping
There are several places to camp around Durango (both paying campsites and free national forest camping). Check Junction Creek and Lightner Creek Campground.

Aid Station Helpers
This event would not be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers! Interested in being a part of Silverton Alpine Running events this summer as a volunteer or helper? You will receive a race shirt, food on race day and race credits to use for future events. Sign Up Here!
