Thank you for registering for an Aravaipa Running event. We understand that circumstances change, and we want to be transparent about our policies regarding withdrawals, race credits, and registration changes. Please review this policy carefully before registering.
No Cash Refunds or Transfers
Aravaipa Running does not offer cash refunds or transfers to another participant or event under any circumstance. Selling or transferring your race entry to another person is not permitted. This policy exists because event costs — including permits, insurance, course preparation, aid station supplies, and staffing — are committed well in advance of race day.
Race Credit Policy
Unless otherwise stated for a specific event, the following race credit structure applies when you notify us in writing at [email protected]:
30 or more days before the event: You will receive a 75% race credit on UltraSignup toward a future Aravaipa Running event.
5 to 29 days before the event: A 50% race credit may be provided in cases of injury or family emergency, at our discretion.
4 days or fewer before the event (or after the event): No race credit will be issued.
How Race Credits Work
Race credits are issued through UltraSignup and are valid for one year from the date of issuance. Each credit can only be used once toward a future Aravaipa Running event. If you withdraw from an event for which credits were used, those credits will not be reissued. This non-reissuance policy also applies to credits earned through volunteering. Credits cannot be combined, split, or applied to merchandise purchases.
Distance Changes
No refunds or credits will be provided for dropping down in race distance. If you wish to move to a longer distance and space is available, please contact us to discuss options — an additional fee may apply for the difference in registration cost.
Race Series
For series registration options, there is no refund or credit for missing one or more races in the series, whether we are notified before or after a missed race. Series entries are priced at a discount with the understanding that all races in the series are included as a package.
Event Cancellation by Aravaipa Running
In the rare event that Aravaipa Running must cancel or significantly modify an event due to circumstances beyond our control — including extreme weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, or permitting issues — we will communicate directly with all registered participants regarding their options. These may include race credits, deferral to a rescheduled date, or other accommodations as determined on a case-by-case basis. We are not liable for travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred in connection with a cancelled event.
Merchandise Returns
Merchandise purchased through our online store (powered by Square) may be eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of purchase, provided items are unused and in original condition. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the buyer. Please contact [email protected] to initiate a return.
