The race begins at Arizona Snowbowl. Runners will start their day with a big climb up to 11,500ft to complete the 3.4 mile "Agassiz Loop". After the legs are thoroughly warmed up, you'll make your way through some beautiful aspens and head southbound on the Arizona Trail. You'll follow the AZT through the Fort Valley Aid Station all the way to Schultz Pass.

After Schultz Pass, you have another challenge... the Weatherford Climb. This trail can be overgrown and there are some deadfalls to climb over or shimmy under. Once you hit the Kachina Wilderness boundary, you'll start heading back south toward Fort Valley Aid. 

Leaving Fort Valley Aid for the second time, you'll begin your final test... an uphill push back to Arizona Snowbowl. This is a LOONNNGG gradual climb with one steep section... the powerline. Finish next to the Agassiz Lodge and celebrate your achievement!

The 5K is a beautiful and challenging loop that travels through the Aspen Loop and navigates some of the less challenging ski slopes on Snowbowl property.
