Selena is a mountain and trail runner living in rural Arizona with her two livestock guardian dogs, her ever-growing flock of chickens, two barn cats, and her husband. She first started running as a way to connect people, places, and ideas. She loves to explore. When she’s not running, she likes to make things. She makes found object art, folk art, furniture, and music. She is a professional writer, and has worked in fields ranging from network ecology to sustainability and astrobiology. In particular, she loves when her running intersects with environmental science and sustainability.
