I am SO happy to be here! After a five-year hiatus from racing due to two hip surgeries—first an arthroscopy, then a full replacement—I returned to the sport bionic and unapologetically stubborn. Time away gave me a deep respect for running and a mindset that refuses to back down, even as the “old” athlete. My mental toughness sometimes borders on stupidity, which explains taking on the Lead Challenge with less than a year of mountain biking experience – then following it up with a strong 100 Mile run after the 100 Mile MTB in Leadville. I started running with my Dad in 3rd grade, and we fell in love with the sport together; I’m endlessly grateful for those Arizona canal miles and traveling all over the country to race. My greatest joy now is coaching and helping young athletes discover the same love for running that shaped my life. I coach Middle School Cross Country and Track, am a proud Mom to my adopted son Mo, and am endlessly supported by my husband, Chris. I train high in the mountains of Salida, Colorado, alongside my dog Millie—my best training partner—and there’s nothing better than having Mo and Millie run through the finish line with me. When I’m not racing, I’m happiest uphill skiing, chasing big peaks, sweating my buns off in the Sauna, Yoga, and fostering dogs
