Madeline Island Marathon

Run through forests and along the shores.

Marathon | Half-Marathon

La Pointe, Wisconsin

The Madeline Island Marathon and Half Marathon in La Pointe, Wisconsin, offers an intimate, scenic race that winds through lush forests and along beautiful coastal shores. Capped at just 125 runners for the full marathon and 325 for the half, the event provides a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere for a perfect weekend getaway.

Despite its small size, both courses are USATF-certified, with the full marathon serving as an official Boston Qualifier.

New for 2027: The Madeline Island Marathon has joined Great Lakes Endurance, Aravaipa Running's Midwest series. The course, the island, and the small-town feel stay the same. Read the announcement to learn more about the transition.
