    Favorite place to run?

San Juan Mountain of Colorado. I fell in love with Hardrock 100 in 2006 and have been making the annual trek there each and every summer since. Some of the most beautiful mountains in the world and its almost in my backyard (just a 9 hour drive).

  • Connector.

    Favorite Aravaipa race?

I’d have to say a toss up between Black Canyon 100K and Whiskey Basin 88K. Both are classic ultra marathon races even though they are fairly young. They exemplify some of the best that Arizona has to offer in trail running.

Gotta go with Indian food on this one with Thai food as a close second. Hard to beat the taste of those international dishes.

    Why do you run?

Running saved me from myself. I have a self-destructive mentality by nature, but once I discovered running I was able to channel that negative energy into something positive. Discovering trail running was the cherry on top. Running in the mountains balances everything out and allows me to grow more each day. I continually reach goals that I once thought would be impossible. Running is the greatest discovery of my life.
